Our story begins with AKGUN RADIATOR - our sister company.  Established in 1974 as a family company, AKGUN sucessfully continues to produce radiators, flat wall tanks, corrugated tanks and corrugated walls.

Having noticed a need in the sector of cores for power and distribution transformers, the AKGUN family used the extensive experience gained with AKGUN RADIATOR and founded MKS Transformer Equipments. Since its foundation, MKS Transformer Equipments continues the production of cores for power and distribution transformers

The company is working under ISO 9001:2000 certification and international standards. MKS Transfomer Equipments is located in Şekerpınar Industrial Zone and has a 5.250 sqm. closed area. Its machinery park includes  640 mm., 840 mm. and 1000 mm. cutting lines for step-lap cores and two 1000 mm slitting lines (Georg). In addition, MKS has three machines from LAE for distribution transformers.
 
We are mainly cutting cores for AREVA and ABB - leader companies in the distribution and transmission transformers sector - but we have also a strong cooperation with other domestic and foreign companies. We have an increasing export graphic and a permanent communication with foreign companies all around the world.

We would like to create partnerships and be more effective in new markets in order to show our efficiency, reliability, and quality.
